Background
The .637-acre parcel at Land and Turkey Trot Road is owned by Warwick Township as open space. Local residents have requested the parcel be transformed into a more useable space for residents to enjoy. The property already has a well-established pollinator area consisting primarily of native dogbane and common milkweed. The property also has a low-lying area that remains wet. The remainder of the parcel is mowed a few times per year.
Project Goals
Transform the current turf grass area into a space that offers:
Engage and inspire the community to participate and become passionate about future stewardship of the space.
Project Description
As we conclude 2023 the trail has been installed, the rain garden has been planted and the tiny forest has been established. Enhancing the existing pollinator area is ongoing.
